Ashiyaneh Zar Copper and Gold Polymetallic Mine

Projects

“Ashiyaneh Zar” copper and gold mine with an area of 18 km2 is located in Kerman province, Bardsir city. It is located in Kerman porphyry copper belt. According to proximity and great similarity of Ashiyaneh Zar mine to the “Darreh Alou” porphyry mine and observations outcrops of mineralization veins, the reserve can be increased by deeper drilling. Currently, the mine is mining by open-pit.

Mine location

The “Ashiyaneh Zar” mine is located in Kerman province, Bardsir city, with an area of 18 km2. Access to the mine is possible through 50 km Kerman-Baft paved road. After passing 30 km of “Golzar” road and passing “Shirinak” & “Gourkin” villages, we enter the mine from the northeast side.

Reserve Type

Genesis: copper and gold polymetallic veins, related to epithermal systems and porphyry copper deposits.
Mineralization Characteristics: This district has two types of vein mineralization of polymetallic and porphyry (probable).
Veins: The district has about 40 mineralized and silica-carbonate veins from several tens to several hundred meters length (different copper and gold polymetallic veins). The width is from 1 to more than 30 meters and the height is 1 to 15 meters.
Porphyry: This area has several mineralized & stock work sections. There are several stock works masses and veins and veinlets in several areas with different dimensions where molybdenum, gold and copper’s anomalies have been identified. In the eastern mass, mineralization dimensions is approximately 200*100 m2 with height of 40 m and in the western mass, mineralization dimensions is 200*500 m2 with height of 15 m.

Geological Features

Host rock: Andesite, Granite, Granodiorite & Tuff, Agglomerate, Tuff, Sandstone & Limestone
Age of host rock: between eosin to quaternary
Alteration: Propylitic, Argillic, Silicification, Carbonate, Alunite, Jarosite, Phyllic.

Vision

Based on the evidences of existing outcrops, exploration operations, great similarities of “Ashiyaneh Zar” district to “Darreh Alou” ore deposit and also by deeper drilling, we can gain considerable deposits of copper and gold.

Facilities

Water and electricity are near the area and major road (dirt road) exist in the most areas.
