این دانشمند بزرگ در زمینه زمین شناسی و اکتشاف مس و طلا در تیپ های پورفیری و اپی ترمال به جرات یکی از بزرگان مسلم می باشد. ایشان متولد 1960 در نیوبرایتون انگلستان بوده و دکتری خود را از دانشگاه ملی استرالیا اخذ نموده است. رساله دکتری وی در پاپواگینه نو منجر به اکتشاف یک کانسار بزرگ طلا با عیار متوسط بیش از 10 ppm شد. ایشان در حال حاضر در دانشگاه آلبرتای کانادا با سمت استادی در حال تدریس و پژوهش است. همچنین مشاور ارشدی شرکت های بزرگ ریوتینتو و واله می باشد. اکتشافات و دیدگاه های نوین وی در کمربند فلززایی نئوتتیس از صربستان تا تبت چین بسیار حایز اهمیت بوده و دانشجویان بسیاری در کشورهای مسیر این کمربند بخصوص در کشور عزیزمان از حضور ایشان بهره مند شده اند. ایشان بیش از 20 سال است که در ایران فعالیت نموده و در اکتشاف کانسارهای مس و طلا در ایران بسیار همکاری نموده است. ایشان مقالات بسیاری در ژورنال های معتبر از جمله Economic Geology منتشر نموده است. ایشان به تازگی یک دوره آموزشی در ایران برگزار نموده است. برخی از مقالات وی به شرح زیر است:
