Sadr Mahalat sodium Feldspat district with 1km2 areas is located in the markazi province near Mahalat city. The area is located in the Sanandaj-Sirjan structural zone, access ways to this area is from the 5 km north-east if Mahalat, access to the desired is possible.

Reserve Type

  • Genesis: metamorphosis
  • Paragenesis of mineral: k feldspar, Na feldspar, veins of Carbonate, Quartz and Chlorite
  • Gange type: Carbonate minerals
  • Geochemical paragenesis: Na, K, Si Al

Geology

  • Host rock type: metamorphosis schist and metasandstone with carbonate layer belong to carboniferous period
  • Age of the host rock:  Infera Cambrian, Cambrian, Permian, Quaternary
  • Alteration:  iron oxide and iron hydroxsides and carbonate

Reserve Amount

The Na2O grade is (8 -12)%, Al2O3 grade is (18 -25)%, and SiO2 grade is (50- 67)%.

Proven Reserve

According to the exploitation certificate, 395,000 tons of Sodium feldspat with moderate quality has been announced.

Facilities

There are water and electricity near the area and there is a dirt road all over the area.

Exploration operations

  • Collecting information for office works and planning for field operations
  • Preparing geological and topographic maps in scale of 1: 20000 with 1Km2 areas
  • Re-sampling to determine exact grade
  • Preparing mineral powder for Streak colors and hardness of mineral
  • Primary cooking for use in the tile body orceramic insulator
  • Primary cooking to paint the ceramic glaze
  • Rebuilding the road and facework
  • Sending samples to factories that is close to the area
  • Preparing the mine for re-extraction

Ownership

This area has exploitation certificate which belong to Farayand Razi Caspian Trading company.
